Ashland Area Development Corporation is located in the Ashland Area Enterprise Center (AAEC), a business incubator facility that provides leased space, support & services to small businesses. The AAEC is a 60,000 square foot mixed-use building with warehouse/disbribution, office, manufacturing & storage space. Below is a list of the current AAEC tenants. At the most recent survey (Nov. 2014) 55 individuals work at the AAEC location and these businesses support an additional 176 employees who perform work offsite.

Ashland Job Center of Wisconsin is operated by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and the Wisconsin Job Center system. It is a Wisconsin-centered employment exchange, linking employers in all parts of the state and in communities that border Wisconsin with anyone looking for a job and is available at no-cost to both employers and job seekers. They added the Career Closet in 2014 with the goal of assisting prospective job seekers and making sure they are appropriately clothed for a job interview or the first day of work.
Clarity Financial, LLC provides insurance and financial solutions for individuals, with a particular emphasis on Seniors. As part of Clarity Financial's unique practice, they include health care planning as part of a holistic approach to "later life" financial planning. They work on a personal level with each of their clients, educating them to attain clarity regarding their goals and options for attaining those goals, allowing their clients to feel confident as they make well-informed, enlightened decisions regarding their personal finances.

LongRun is an electronics recycling start-up program which brings community service, work experience and computer recycling together. The project is designed to assist people in treatment courts to change behaviors, provide educational opportunities, and rebuild people. The computers being recycled are removed from inappropriate waste streams and the recycled equipment pays for the project. An additional benefit is that many computers are able to be refurbished and donated to non-profit organizations.

Northflow, LLC is a networked environmental consulting practice dedicated to applying watershed approaches to natural resource management and sustainable community development. Northflow assists clients to manage their dynamically complex issues to achieve their goals and to make conservation profitable. Northwest Wisconsin Concentrated Employment Program, Inc. provides workforce development services. Often referred to as C. E. P., they provide workforce development services with a team of highly skilled, professional Business Consultants who help businesses recruit and retain a quality workforce. C.E.P.'s activities are coordinated by the Northwest Wisconsin Workforce Investment Board (NWWWIB).
Soft Lines Inc. manufactures personalized dog leashes, horse leads, dock lines and hunting supplies. Soft Lines has been expanding their product lines through trade shows, both marine and pet.
Workforce Resource Inc. manages the region's Job Training Partnership Act, Workforce Investment Act, numerous programs and a variety of state and federal discretionary and demonstration grant programs from multiple state and federal agencies and numerous private foundation and revenue generating projects. Workforce Resource is contracted with the State of Wisconsin Dept. of Children and Families to operate Wisconsin Works (W-2) programs which provides necessary and appropriate services to prepare individuals to work, and to obtain and maintain viable, self-sustaining employment, which will promote economic growth. Wisconsin Works (W-2) is based on work participation and personal responsibility. The program provides employment preparation services, case management and cash assistance to eligible families.
